For example, we use Shopify to facilitate personalized advertising with third-party services, based on your online activity across different merchants and websites. Our marketing partners will use your information according to their own privacy policy notices. Depending on your location, you may have the right to request that we not share your information for personalized advertising purposes. You can request to opt-out of such uses [here].
  • When you authorize, request or consent: for example to ship products or to use social media widgets or login integrations.

Relationship with Shopify: The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services to provide and improve the Services for you. The information you submit to the Services will be transmitted and shared with Shopify, as well as with third parties who may be located in a country different from the one in which you reside, so that we can provide the Services to you. In addition, to help protect, expand and improve our business, we utilize some of Shopify’s advanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our store, with other merchants, and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may use information collected about your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify. In these cases, Shopify is responsible for processing that personal information, including responding to your requests regarding your rights over the use of that information for such purposes. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information and your rights, visit the Shopify Customer Privacy Policy [LINK]. Depending on your location, you may exercise certain rights regarding your personal information [here].

Third-Party Sites and Links: The Services may contain links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. If you access these links to sites that are not affiliated with or controlled by us, we recommend you review the privacy and security policies and terms and conditions of those third parties. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those sites, including the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any information they provide. Information that you share in public or semi-public areas, such as social media, may also be viewed by other users of the Services and/or those platforms, without any limitation on our use or others’ use. The inclusion of these links in the Services does not by itself represent any endorsement of the content of those sites or their owners and operators.

Children’s Information: The Services are not intended for use by children and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from minors, as defined by applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, you may contact us by the channels below to request that we remove such information. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing (as defined by applicable law) personal information of individuals under the age of 16.

Data transmitted to us may not be protected during transit. We recommend that you avoid sending sensitive or confidential information by insecure means. The period for which we retain your personal information may vary depending on factors including the need to keep your account active, provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce contracts and policies.

Your Rights and Choices: Depending on your location, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. However, these rights are not absolute and may apply only in certain circumstances. In some cases, Shopify may decline a request as permitted by law. You may have the right to:

  • Access/Know: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete the personal information we have about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information that we hold about you.
  • Portability: Receive a copy of your personal information and request that it be transferred to a third party, in certain circumstances.
  • Opt-Out of Sales or Targeted Ads: Depending on your location, you may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, and to opt out of having your personal information used for targeted advertising, as defined by applicable laws. You can request to opt-out of such uses [here]. If you access our site with the “Global Privacy Control” setting enabled in your browser (and depending on your location), we will treat this as a valid opt-out request for the device and browser used. If we can link that device to a Shopify account, we will apply the request to that account as well. To learn more about the Global Privacy Control, visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. Currently, aside from the Global Privacy Control, we do not recognize other “Do Not Track” signals from browsers or devices.
  • Communications Preferences: We may send you promotional emails, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails. Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send you non-promotional messages (e.g., about your account or orders).

You can exercise these rights directly through the Services, if available, or by contacting us at the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You may need to verify your identity before we process your requests. As permitted by law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require confirmation of authorization to act on your behalf. We may also ask that you directly confirm your identity with us. We will respond to your request within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to dispute our decision by contacting us again through the same channels, or to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International Transfers: It is possible that your personal information will be transferred, stored and processed outside the country in which you reside. If we transfer your personal information outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will use recognized transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent contracts approved by the UK authority, as applicable, except when transferring to a country deemed to have adequate protection.

Changes to This Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this site, update the “Last updated” date, and provide notice as required by law.

Translation Notes and Ambiguous Terms

  • “Loja virtual é o local de sua preferência.” This Portuguese phrase is unclear. We interpreted it to mean that the online store is your chosen place to make purchases. In practice, this line may be unnecessary or could be removed for clarity.
  • “Pacote a pacote” was translated as “package by package,” but the intended meaning might be “per order” or “per shipment.” Depending on context, you may consider phrasing it as “per package” or “for each package.”
  • “Aviso de autorizado de Garantias” in the termination section appears to be a mistranslation or typo. We treated this as “Warranty Disclaimer” in English.
  • Placeholders like [lojista] were rendered as [Merchant] for clarity. Be sure to replace these placeholders with your actual store name or details where applicable.
  • Section 16 in the Privacy Policy had mixed Portuguese/English text (e.g., “AND ‘NO ESTADO AS SE ENCONTRAM’ AND ‘COMO DISPONÍVEIS’”), which we translated as standard legal disclaimer phrases “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”
  • Legal terms: We used common English equivalents for terms like “Termos de Serviço” (Terms of Service), “lojista” (merchant or store), and “isenção de responsabilidade” (disclaimer or limitation of liability). Depending on your jurisdiction, you might adjust phrasing to match local legal conventions.
  • Shopping and Returns: In the return policy, phrases like “somente de acordo com nossa política de reembolso” were interpreted as “eligible for return or exchange only in accordance with our Refund Policy.” The section titles in this policy (e.g., “Danos e problemas,” “Trocas,” “Reembolsos”) were translated as “Damages and Issues,” “Exchanges,” and “Refunds,” respectively, to match common English usage.
  • EU Cancellation: The “Período de reflexão de 14 dias da União Europeia” was translated as “European Union 14-Day Cancellation,” reflecting the legal right to cancel within 14 days in EU.
  • Tone and Formality: Legal English typically uses “you” and “we” in a formal tone. We maintained second-person usage (“you”) as in the original, which is common in consumer-facing policies.

Please review the translations and adjust any store-specific details (names, addresses, contact info) or link placeholders as needed. The language used here aims to be clear and formal, but you may wish to consult legal counsel to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
